A Fort Worth nonprofit dedicated to saving, sharing, and celebrating the Trinity River

About

Streams and Valleys is a non-profit organization committed to saving, sharing and celebrating the Trinity River in Fort Worth. Our river has drawn people to its banks since the army built its outpost on the bluffs above the Trinity Valley in 1849. Historians say that without the Trinity River, Fort Worth would not exist. Some residents say that without it, the city would have no soul.

Throughout Fort Worth history, the Trinity River has given much and taken much, nurturing and destroying, as it continues to define this great city’s character.

Thanks to the efforts and generosity of citizens, through Streams and Valleys, the Fort Worth community is restoring the Trinity River to beauty, vitality and usefulness, reminding the city of its important role in Fort Worth’s past, present and future.
